Not afraid of the dark

there are days whereby i just feel like hiding. i feel like an imposter now smiling to everyone and talking in a cheerful manner when all i wanna do is to curl up, let depression take over and space out. i do not wish to know how great your day was as mine feels like a bottomless pit. today i feel i need to hide in the dark so i do not have to put up a smile for anyone.

Broken Puppet

by me

There by the window

Sitting by the ledge

Cast aside and forgotten

My strings lay slack

The sun’s rays are making my wooden face crack

The rain’s droplets are making my pink costume wet

Once I danced on that glittering stage

Once they stood spellbound there in front of the stage

Now the pink has faded to grey

Now my painted smile looks less gay

I been sitting here exposed yet unseen

I been sitting here looking at the same backyard scene

My Dior

if you tot the launch of this range of Dior phone was overpriced from USD5000 (drooling already over the cool my-dior mini-phone it comes with -on the right-)

Christian Dior and Mode Labs have teamed up on a version with 640 Swarovski stones. The asking price is more than USD28k!!!

Lady Dior Cell Phone

I cannot even be bothered to copy the specs since I figure if I can afford this phone i prob do not care about the specs anyway. the way it matches any outfit suffice!

Shoe Alert

Hands up if you love shoes!

Shoes are like the highest order in my fashion drool. The contradiction is that my feet blisters too easily and many shoes including running shoes have my feet in pain after couple of hours. Still that is not reason enough to stop buying as i have to keep hunting for THE shoe right...ahem...anyway eyeballing is free la so this is what i spy now.....

Giuseppe Zanotti High Heel See Through Stilt Wedges
so gorgeous! the clean soles with just the right amount of details. I believe although it is really high it may not be as difficult to walk in as it seems since the front is also elevated so the arch is not that steep and thus not as painful on the sole. beyond my budget for sure.

Dolce Vita Dijion Owl sandals

the color is nice (i like the pewter! so easy to match) and the details are so good. http://www.barefoottess.com shipping is expensive really love this one...

something closer to home and friendlier on the feet:

Lacoste Ballet Flats. Sweet and in my fav shade of pink! footilicious!

Value of Life

Just read this on yahoo news, incredible really and I would love to sell my life too at such prices. its like being in a story whereby you get a chance to start your life all over again. have to think about how to spend this amount wisely....... set up another life in another city, set up a online fashion empire and spend my weekends on a small yacht with my pup. *dream*

Man offered $2.2m for his life in Australia
AFP - Tuesday, June 24

SYDNEY (AFP) - - A lovelorn man who put his life in Australia up for sale on the Internet was one step closer to starting over Monday as bids for his house, job and lifestyle hit 2.2 million dollars (2.1 million US).

Ian Usher, 44-year-old from Yorkshire in England, launched the unusual auction after announcing on his blog: "I have had enough of my life! I don't want it any more! You can have it if you like!"

Usher, who has lived in the western city of Perth for the past six years, said he decided to sell after breaking up with his wife because everything in the house was a "reminder of the wonderful past we shared."

The former rug salesman said the auction surpassed his hoped-for price of 500,000 dollars on the first-day of the week-long auction on Sunday.

When Usher went to bed on Sunday night, his life was worth 650,000 dollars, according to bids on the Internet auction site eBay. By early Monday, it was valued at a staggering 2.2 million dollars.

"I turned the computer on (Monday morning) and it was 1.9 million and I burst out laughing," Usher told AFP.

While it was possible that some of the bidders were "idiots trying to make a name for themselves," Usher said he was confident there were genuine offers in the mix.

Even so, Usher said the value of the physical assets for sale -- including his three-bedroom Perth home, 19-year-old Mazda 929 sedan, a 1986 motorbike and a jetski -- was just 450,000 to 500,000 dollars.

Usher has also promised that the winner will be introduced to his friends and lifestyle and will secure his former job as a rug store assistant for two weeks initially. This may be extended depending on the store owners' agreement.

All Usher will retain is his passport, wallet and the clothes on his back if the deal goes ahead.

Bidders may want to buy the life package to resell items separately, profiting from their value as collectible items, he said.

"I had emails from people asking 'Can I buy a pair of socks or something small from your house, I can't afford the whole thing,'" he said.

"Someone could buy the whole house and sell it off."

Usher, who plans to travel, donate to charity and climb the Eiffel Tower in Paris once the sale is finalised, said he won't make any definite plans for his new life until this one is over.

"It still has an air of unreality about it," he said of the auction.

The 90/10 Principle

chill me 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react

What does this mean?

We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.

We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? ..... By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you: YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You're eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and critisize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40miles an hour in a 30mph speed limit.

After a 15 minutes delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to going home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daugther.

Why?? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?

A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's okay honey, you just need to be more careful next time." Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

Ideal Proposal?

back when some DVD store were having a sale I bought the korean drama Hwang Jini. As the man was again away on biz, I rellied on Jini to help me occupy my time. I have watched 8 episodes so far and on one of the episodes Eunho (the guy Jini likes) kinda wanted to show Jini he loves her when Jini was about to tell him there is no chance for them due to the old cast system which forbids marraige between nobleman class and gisaeng which are korean version of geisha and considered low cast.

whats with the hair anyway. they always have this big hair which supposedly shows grooming and beauty. I prefer her like this

Anyway Jini went to look for Eunho and when she arrived at the bridge, the entire path was covered with flowers. She tread her way like a fairy over the bridge to a pavilion and there was a string hanging down. Naturally she pulled it and down sliding came a ring inscribed with a message from Eunho.

The scene was beautiful and I starting thinking maybe one day I will come home and find our apartment floor covered with rose petals (yah color coordination is still a must and the bright red will stand out given our black/gray scheme). I walk in feeling like a princess and find tied to the doorway to the room a string. When I pulled it, a hugh 1 carat diamond ring came sliding down and the man walks slowly towards me and kneel to ask for my hand.....

But who will sweep up the rose petals later? moi most likely kwa kwa kwa and unlike in the show whereby the ring can slide slowly into her palms, i think my diamond would fly top speed and probably roll off to some corner and we will both be on bended knees then looking for it. Shucks with a practical mind like mine how to have a dreamy proposal? duh

bikini babe

nope not referring to myself but rather my new bikini from Victoria Secrets and the babe is the model in the photo la. loooove it as it is quite different from the typical bikini. The white portion is lace or look kinda knitted and the brown is faux leather. It is on sale now so go grab!

The perils of online shopping resulting in a top that is a tad too small for me. Thought that american sizes were bigger so I chose a size smaller =( so I think you can actually buy your singapore bra size safely and not be like me.

In total I have 4 bikinis now.....wait a min.... I can't swim......

Busy Bumblebee

her say Life has been very fulfilling and busy since Slurpie joined us. We try to do housework on Friday night so we enjoy the weekend better.

Sat is now healthy living with swimming (us time) and strolls around the neighborhood (slurpie doo doo time). Followed by a lovely homecooked dinner and R&R. I love my weekends now =)

Some pic updates of my latest kitchen trials

Home made cranberry scones for tea

Roast Chicken with Herbs and Wine, Steamed Garlic Scallops and Stirfry Tofu with Minced Meat.

The chicken was tender and fragrant, lots of work but totally worthed it when my man slurped it up.

Pineapple tarts made from scratch including the pineapple. Tart was crumbly as it should but pineapple was a tad too wet. However I like it that it was not as sweet as the usual store type. Achievement!

2008 Q1

Our Home 2008 1st Q Reflections

2007 was a year of new beginnings. I returned to Sg after 2 yrs in Sha, we fell in love, we bought our first home etc etc. 2008 started off with more new changes. We completed our new home and shifted in. We bought our first puppy together. There is just so much to get used to and so much to learn on this new way of life.

Ever since we shifted in on 12th Jan, I have been trying my best to manage a home that will provide us with warmth, comfort and joy. There was endless packing and cleaning. Till now, not everything is in place. I still have loads of stuff at mom's place and of those that have been shifted over, many items are still laying in a mess in the study room wardrobe. I just keep avoiding having to plan where to put everything.

Cleaning is really a chore. No sooner have I empty one laundry bucket, it gets filled again. Each weekend I have to do at least 3 loads =( Ironing is the next stage in hell. And the floor....no matter how we have vacuumed or mopped, the place still does not seem clean enough as we always have the balcony doors open and living on the 2nd floor does not help. Still I have now manage to sort how to clear the laundry most efficiently but I need to think how to make ironing less tiring and cleaning more efficient. There are cobwebs in the corners and the surfaces have a layer of dust. My god how often does one have to clean every corner and wipe every surface! How does one work 50% of the time and try to squeeze R&R, cleaning and washing into one day, everyday?

Cooking wise, I am glad to say that I have thus far stick to cooking at least 3 meals a week. I stick by this principle as I want us to have some healthy no MSG and less oil food sometimes for long term good health. I cook soup every Sat, good ole cantonese soups that are nutritious and I have been experimenting new recipes. So far I have not repeated a dish yet and its been 2 mths. Yeah i am proud of myself. A slight problem though is the fact that I cook by feel, adding condiments and ingredients as I go along (prob watch too much Mrs. Fang when I was young when she always says this Shao Xu that Shao Xu), luckily usually the dish turns out fine, unluckily I may not be able to replicate the same taste the next round. The cleaning up after is tedious but I think its stil worth it. Somehow within me is the old fashion aunty who believes a good wifey has to know how to cook and make soups =)

There are endless things to do everynight after work and bedtime always creeps on us so quickly. I want to work towards better routines so we can have quality time. Imagine 2months and I have yet to try the pool or explore the linear park.

Every weekend we should at least do a sport be it swimming, tennis or just walking by the beach (so near yet we never go enough). Weekday nights as Slurpie grows, I hope we can go for a nightly stroll after dinner. We have to also balance our life so we should go for at least one formal date every fortnight, just the 2 of us, dressed up for a night out. Dun want to look back and only rem cleaning the house everyday!

CNY at Home Sweet Home

Abode The house is finally completed and we had friends over on the eve and 1st day of CNY.

the stickers are up and they really spice up the space. Especially the ones in the MBR, it really makes the mirror looks much more interesting and the whole room more "designed". Managed to get the clock from HK up to finally after playing around with the various permutations possible we decided on the most "artistic" combi of a straight line...AHEM...not easy hor, had to figure out which color to place next to which!

We had gorgeous red tulips from Ikea which bloomed really well and we loved it on our dining table...also look at the "LOVE-ly" meal we had.

I love our home =)

Sawadeeka

Travels the trip to the land of smiles was booked before the man could protest right after the HK trip =) and coincidentally both trips starts on 8th and ends on the 12th.

BKK was not as cheap to go to as compared to the past although airfares are now cheaper, the prices of food, shopping and entertainment there has kept up with the inflation everywhere. To start off, we loved the hotel. Adephi Suites on Sukhumvit Soi 8 was clean, big (king bed with a 2 seater sofa area, microwave, cooking hob and washing area and a full size fridge, Samsung LCD with a hifi dvd player as well...wow) and the service was good too. Soi 8 was also a pleasant lane with a few small alfresco non sleazy pubs and several massage joints. The lane had plenty of caucasian tourists rather then the normal cluttered lanes and it was only like a 3 min walk to Nana BTS and a 10min walk to Sukhumvit MRT. Highlight of the Soi 8? On our last night I was shocked when i looked up from our roadside sit outside the cafe having our before retiring drink and saw an ELEPHANT! yap not kidding an ELEPHANT was walking towards me! 3 men who popped out of no where and who had the poor beast on a leash with a bicycle rear red light tied to it's tail, was trying to sell bananas to tourists to feed the elephant. How often does one sees an elephant at 11pm while having a chill-out caffeine break? too bad we did not have our camera then.

Food...hmmm the best was at Lumpini inside the Suan Lom Bazzaar at the Thai Puppetory Theatre restaurant. Food was good, ambience really chic and we had lots of company having dinner at the same time sucking on our blood. mozzies attack =( went for 3 different massages, slept late watching discovery, woke late as a result of the slept late and ....

we shopped. and shopped. and shopped. haha poor man swelled up one night due to shopping overdose he claims (more of water rentention darling). we bought some nice Ts each, shorts and berms and some misc item for the haven. i am depressed...we did not even make full use of the luggage allowance! and to think i brought along 2 extra bags for carry-on incase we exceed the weight DUH!

On the flight back, we were entertained by Wah Bi Kong, the amazing top performer from Qinghai as inflight entertainment. Who says budget air is boring? Mr. Wah performed the amazing dig his nose with all 10 fingers in various mind-boggling angles, twisting his wrist and bending each finger to reach every possible nook and cranny in his nostrils. He was accompanied by Chang Qi, who with is amazing lung powers, cried his heart out for the last 10mins of the flight. We have to highlight the rest of the Qing Hai members too for creating chaos and for all the shoving and pushing which truely made the flight home so much less mundane.

Journey of Life?

her say given a choice would u choose

A) A bumpy ride of ups and downs that should eventually lead to the final destination - blissful heaven
B) A smooth pleasant time that has no destination and you end up back where u began only much older though not wiser

the Bs are those who live carefree lives, doing as they please, living life a day at a time having so call fun without worries or plans. they look at their peers, the As, who are slogging it out to carve a path for a better future, wrestling each day to build a life. Bs may sneer and smirk now but i trust their peers, As, will have the last laugh when in exchange for a few years of trying times the As may end up much better off. As for the B's, they realise they have been wandering in circles and there has been no progress forward.

Almost done and we are IN

Abode Hip Hip Hurray!

12 Jan 08, we have shifted in officially with the works of the charcoal stove, "always full" rice bin and lights on the 1st night procedures. I would say that it was not as difficult as we thought it would be although its true that we were exhausted from the lack of rest the past week, the whole process took lesser time and was not as tough as we anticipated. Perhaps when it is something we want and like, the chores seem meaningful.

I scrubbed and washed and packed like never before. I have moved houses many times before but the feel is totally different when its your OWN and FIRST house and when its OUR haven =) I have not seen the man this engaged in getting dirty too. I can feel his excitement too at our new journey to create truly our Home Sweet Home.

On fri night we washed and scrubbed all the floors. Seems like in the 48hours we had vacuumed, mopped and scrubbed non-stop. The buying to equip the haven never seems to end too as there are always things to puchase to make the place complete. The sofa area is lovely with the carpet and simple coffee table. The bedroom is cosy yet cheery with the perfect shade of paint and bedsheet. and my fav place? the balcony with the perfect table and lovely greens. In the morn its the perfect place for breakfast as we soak in the daylight and enjoy the morning breeze. We spy on our neighbors too haha and dog watch from our little corner of tranquility.

Sneak peek of the current look, we will be adding more touches to make the place complete:

First cooked dinner (i am proud after not cooking for almost a year the man says chix wings and veggie was good, preparation and cooking all done in a hour speedy gonzales!) and a much better dinner 2nd time round in terms of portion and it was an impromptu meal requested by the man. pardon the newspaper-ed table, dining table not in yet so we made do.

pretty upset that he has to be outstationed again for 11days. there is so much to pack still and things to re-arrangement. feels a little overwhelmed to have to be alone in the new home and due to the hectic weeks we have not really enjoyed chilling out as most nights it was too late by the time we settle down and its off to bed. Hopefully when he is back we can establish some nice habits and schedules so we can enjoy this lovely haven we have painstakenly established together.

Next up.....wallpapering this sat and mirrors installation.

How to Have a Happy Marriage/Relationship by Alan Stafford

Love Take some time to read this simple but somehow make sense article. READ dun just scroll away!!

It starts with you

The happier you are with yourself and your life, the more attractive you are to your partner. Another way to look at this is: if you were someone else, would you marry you? Start today to work on being the kind of person you would want to know, date, and marry. If you're not that kind of person, how can you expect your spouse to stay attracted or stay passionate?

There's you, there's him/her, and then there's we

You don't have to give up your identity or be known as your spouse's partner.

It also doesn't work when two people each do their own thing without regard to their partner's wishes and feelings. Marriage is, and should be, more than cohabitation. As the marriage vows state, "two shall be as one". That "one" is neither you nor him. The "one" is a third entity: the relationship, the marriage, the "we".

The "we" is what you share, what you have in common, the nurturing that cannot be provided on your own. Think companionship, intimacy, and sharing.

Leave behind your emotional baggage

Are you really over your previous relationship? If not, you can't fully commit to your spouse. Likewise, if you are still Daddy's little girl or Mommy's boy, you are not in control of your own life. Therefore, you cannot fully enter into an adult relationship of mutual sharing and support. You can't be accountable to your spouse if you have to keep pleasing Mommy or Daddy.

Your marriage comes first

Marriage is the strongest bond between two people. Parents are here and one day they are gone. Children grow into adults and leave to start their own lives. Your spouse is only person who is meant to stay with you the rest of your time on this planet.

Women who say their children come first are usually unable to let their children grow up and become independent adults. Instead of a mature adult-adult relationship, the roles are forever adult- child. So the children never emotionally leave home and are forever dependent on the parent.

Your marriage is your top priority

You didn't get married to commute two hours a day, work at the office 60 hours a week, and pay on a mortgage for 30 years. You probably got married to share your life, your hopes, your dreams- not your bills-with that special someone. During life's ups and especially during life's downs, keep in mind why you married in the first place. Not jobs, nor cars, nor your favorite sports team. At one time, your partner was the most important thing in this world to you. Act like it today and every day.

Don't compare

This holds true in your life as well as in your marriage. There will always be a couple that seems happier, wealthier, sexier, and more perfect than you two are. So what? Their happiness doesn't increase or diminish your happiness. Neither does their money, their jobs, their house, or their glamour. All that matters is whether you and your spouse have created a relationship that works for you.

Don't wonder "what if?"

Wondering what it would be like to be with another person-for a night or for a lifetime-is self-delusion and is really unfair to your spouse. You see other people socially when they are at their best. You see your spouse when he/she is at his best, her average, and sometimes at her worst. If you could swap mates, guess what? You'd see that person at his/her worst, and you probably wouldn't like what you see.

Realize that love can grow

As much as you were in love when you got married, your love and commitment to each other can grow over the years. Marriage can get better, not worse, with time. The longer you've been married, the more history you have together. The triumphs and disappointments, the successes and the failures, all are part of sharing a life together. And that history is unique to you. No one else has that or can duplicate it. This is why a man who leaves his middle aged wife for a younger woman eventually wants to come back. With his wife he has a history-a shared past. With the new woman there is only the present.

Commitment means no matter what

It's as simple as making the decision to be totally committed to your spouse and to the relationship. No matter what happens financially, or health wise, or otherwise. No matter what. Once the two of you have decided to stay "no matter what", there is no question of stay or go, yes or no. Now the emphasis is on problem solving. Write this down: all couples have problems. Happy couples learn to deal with their problems. Unhappy couples eventually just run away.

Believe that a happy marriage is not only possible, it's yours for the making

It won't happen by itself. It takes intention, commitment, and practice. But the couples who have happy, blissful, and satisfying marriages are proof that it is possible. Just choose to be happy, and choose to be happily married.

Reflection of 2007

stitch the year is coming to an end and 2007 has marked many events.

In 2007 I relocated back to Singapore after 2 yrs in spitland. it felt good to be home although i do miss the friends in spitland and the fun there too. No more little lobsters and hairy crabs, no more bargain buys with Mr and Mrs Bliss, no more late night singings and silly dancing with them too. But i am finally home!

In 2007 I went for the longest trip so far to NZ for 13 days and had a wonderful time

In 2007 I fell in love again

In 2007 We bought our first car SGW3333R

In 2007 We bought our first home (wheeee yippee!)

Falling in love brings with it laughter and tears. We have loads of fun with each other, we sing in the car, we laugh over silly jokes, we share crappy lines and we play mean to even meaner people. There were frustration and tears too as we learn to accept each other and work out how to think of the other as a part of ourselves. We have grown closer and now arguements are less heated and we make up much faster then before. It is heart warming to see this improvement as we both have smelly tempers and thus it shows how much we care when we are able to put pride and ego aside and be lovey again.

Preparing for our haven has also been a trying period. Lots to source and decide and compromise. Yet everything is falling in place and soon we will have a place to call HOME. I cant wait!

All in all 2007 has been a good year and we are ready for 2008! Bring it on!

Scumptous Dinner & Haven Update

her say we had a wonderful dinner on Sat to make up for the man's missed bday celebration as he was in Dubai AGAIN. I had reserved a wonderful surprise for him at Breeze, a corner table that gives us a good view and some privacy to enjoy the dinner. The place is beautiful, the man liked it and that made me happy =). the food was sooooooo delicious really, we will definitely go back again. Tried to hide the pressie in the car earlier but clumsy me kicked it accidentally and He saw it kwa kwa kwa.....anyhow i hid it again in the plants and made him go look for it while we were waiting for dessert. I hope you enjoyed the mini celebration darling. We ended the night with a movie, Enchanted, which is more of an enjoyment for me and which he sweetly told me its ok to watch cos he knows i like such musical like shows. Muacks!

the arvo was spent waiting for movers for the wardrobe we sold online. movers came movers refused to move and so endded up we had to go again on sunday for the 2nd team of movers. Sold finally! save on dismantling and disposal and still have $$$ to keep, heh not too bad. we bought more lights for the yard and kitchen and i love my mini christmas plant and his botak da fan shu-cactus hehe...a breathe of life to our place literally. managed to solve the distance to TV issue but now we have to think of how to place the DVD players etc....decisions decisions.

solved the blinds and curtains issue too. decided on curtains for all rooms to cut down the price and blinds for the living as we want the full length of the balcony to be open and not covered by curtains at the side during the day.

step by step, really tiring and tedious but truly felt happy yesterday just sitting on the bay window and imagining the place we will call home soon!

Falling into Place

Abode Defects are being rectified at the moment, electricity and water supply has been turned on and reno works due to start next Tuesday once we clear the defects. finally we can use the toilets ....ha

We have bought all the lights except for the study/spare room. blinds for the living area and MBR toilet, bamboo chicks for the balcony and yard has also been confirmed. burnt a hole in the pocket though, total damage $1670. We have also purchased curtains for the WIW and spare room and the day curtain for the MBR from ikea to cut some cost. These are great by the way as you can DIY the alteration of the length by just ironing it with the mushy thing it comes with and it will adhere by itself. We have to figure out how to solve the rails though. Have also purchased the shower curtain.

Delivery of TV, washing machine and fridge next Monday. All other items will be delivered 12 Jan which we estimate is when the reno will be completed and when we can clean the place up for the delivery. If all goes well we might just be able to spend our first weekend at our HOME on the 12th. fingers crossed!

Next on the list:
1. Finalise reno details and paint color
2. Buy all racks for kitchen and MBR toilet so contractor can install them
3. Buy clothes pole and rack for yard
4. Buy vacuum and microwave/conventional oven
5. Buy misc items so we can move in! Bedsheets, toiletries, kettle, ironing board, cleaning equipments and liquids
6. Decide and put up WIW pole systems
7. Decide and buy wallpaper
8. Buy dining table and chairs

step by step things are falling in place and i am mighty pleased =)

on a side note, i have met ALL the man's relatives at his sis wedding on 9th Dec and yes i am confused on who is whose sister/husband or son/daughter haha not to mention the gazillion times we were asked on when it will be our turn.
